Agree with ATF. I have 3 x Le CIE BIGDISK 1TB's (2 x 500GB's). These are disgraceful!
All have some issue. I have lost two of them over time through failing power supplies. THis is not obvious at first however when you initiate data recovery utilities such as DATA RESCUE II.app and TTP.app (on OSX), these drive get worse and worse.
I lost 640GB 3 weeks ago from the last one and it had a replacement power supply. Some 60GB P2 footage I will never get back!
Le Cie's support is simply dreadful here in ASIA.
My colleague bought a 500GB Le CIE which was dead on arrival. Sadly we had discarded the packaging after a day before we realised we needed it for an exchange. 2 months to get an exchange. - simply disgraceful.
I have since relegated all 3 external drives t the shelf and have implemented a QUANTUM HH desktop SAS Ultrium LTO4 tape drive.
