Another shameless feature plug:

A (very topical) documentary I worked on is opening this weekend in LA. Ben shot some red cam interviews for it, but most of it was very run and gun AF100, sometimes with no lights at all and sometimes lit with chinese LED's (yep, green). Anyway, watch this feature before you log onto another website or think the invasion of privacy we are all suffering from isn't something to worry about.

Starts this friday at the NoHo 7 theater and plays that week. Q&A follows the early Friday evening show.

A few pieces of press:

“This quietly blistering documentary should rile even the most passive viewer.”
Jeannette Catsoulis, The New York Times

“The scariest movie I’ve seen this year, a horror tale that would have been science fiction had it been made in the 1990s.”
G. Allen Johnson, San Francisco Chronicle

“The term “opting in” suggests a matter of choice. But as the thoughtful and spirited documentary “Terms and Conditions May Apply” makes chillingly clear, choices are few for netizens.”
Sheri Linden, The Los Angeles Times

“One of the most important and eye-opening films of the year.”
Kevin Lally, Film Journal International

“Timing could hardly be better…”
John DeFore, The Hollywood Reporter

“Must-see doc.”
Whitney Matheson, USA Today

“A riveting investigation on the death of privacy…a must see.”
Ben Umstead, TwitchFilm

“A shocking and disturbing investigation into the basic civil rights we surrender when we click the ubiquitous little boxes that allow us to do all the many things we do online.”
Paul Sbrizzi, HammertoNail

“Nail-biting suspense…a vital piece of journalism…asks the questions we should all be asking.”
Vanessa McMahon, FilmFestivals.com

“Darkly comical…calmly understated and arrestingly insistent.”
Joe Leydon, Variety

“The most important film made this year.”
Felix Vasquez Jr., Cinema Crazed

“What social media’s founding fathers have wrought.”
Brian D. Johnson, Macleans

“It will definitely leave you and any other viewer talking afterward.”
Joshua Brunsting, CriterionCast

“If you believe the privacy promises of online giants like Google and Facebook, then Cullen Hoback’s doc will remove the scales from your eyes and your hand away from your mouse.”
Peter Howell, The Toronto Star

“Hoback does a stellar job of corralling a lot of information, and the consequences of giving up so much personal data, and presenting in clear terms.”
Brandy Dean, Pretty Clever Films

“This documentary should be mandatory viewing for everyone who uses the internet.”
John Ford, Slug Magazine
