I'm very pleased to be able to post that Jimmy Larouche's debut feature film "La Cicatrice" (The Scar) is in competiton at this year's 20th anniversary edition of Camerimage in Poland. It will be presented in the Cinematographer's debut section, being the first fiction feature lensed by one of my very favorite people, DOP Glauco Bermudez. (Glauco, as young as he is, is not a stranger to Camerimage, having won the Golden Frog for best documentary cinematography in 2008 for Diego Rivera's film "Ex-Voto for three souls").
La Cicatrice was shot in the regions of Québec 2011 with our baby, Red One #4729, and we've been very involved with this production ever since, with some of the Visual Effects being done here, Sound design by myself, and colour correction on the trailer you see link'd below done here by Simon Allard. Post on the film itself was done in Montreal by Technicolor. Congrats to Glauco and the whole team!
The film premiered last month at Busan in South Korea.
