KOWA Prominar Anamorphic Set-40, 50mm, 75mm & 100mm.

KowaRentals.jpg

These lenses have been reported, by one of the LA service house techs to be the best optical set seen for service and better than the sets in their own rental inventory.

My lens set is based in the So. Cal - LA area, but will ship for select projects.

Individual Pics here:

Added The 0.8 Canon Adapter with 80 mm ID, to mount on the 80mm OD of the Duclos Modded Lens set. This makes, for example, the 40mm into a 32mm focal length lens and so forth for the entire set. Really an added bonus, for certain applications.

The New Duclos flats are inside 77mm threaded, to allow screw in filters as well.

Thank you very much

Just shot with Fury's set and I can tell you, they are one of the best sets in the world. Panavision said it was the best set they had ever seen. Duclos then overhauled the mechanics, added iris gears, and the set is like new. Given a clean bill of health and called one of the best Kowa sets they have ever seen. Here are some screen grabs of the shoot where I mainly used the 40mm at 6K 6:5 on Dragon w/LLO Olpf:

All of these shots are handheld, 82fps, me pulling my own focus. I dare say you will not find a better set anywhere in the world unless someone has a mint original set that's still in the original boxes. Will post a couple short clips until the full video goes up online. Incredibly sharp and detailed even at 9:1 compression.
If I was able to shoot 3:1 or 4:1, look out Master Anamorphics :emote_head_explode:

Sorry, youtube compression sucks but you can see how clean and detailed the images are above. Moving, handheld shots, pulling my own focus.

Kowas were not the main lenses but were used through out and movi. main lens was the cooke anamorphics and some s[hericals ASC has a much better ind depth article. But love it when productions use those beautiful kowas. Some were used on Ex Machina as well.

Rented these bad boys off of Fury a week ago for a shoot - I'd swear by these. Beautiful imagery and kept in great shape. I'll be back to post some stills/video in the future.

Rent with confidence!
