Here's a short contemplative portrait documentary I did on an up and coming professional MMA fighter down here in Jacksonville. Shot almost entirely on Scarlet-W with some Raven stuff here and there. Filming in these circumstances really is what makes RED my ride-or-die for documentary, or hell, anything at this point. Sigma Cinema 18-35 was the primary glass used throughout.

Well done! I loved the top light you used throughout; it reminds me of the opening scene of Rocky a lot.

What was your post-production process like with the color grade? Did you use ACES?

Thanks AJ. Yeah we utilized the Hudson Spider for the monochrome shadow boxing sequences. Grade wise things varied a bit. All done in Lumetri. I actually built a Hald/Lut off a custom preset in Lightroom for the color shots. The monochrome shots were just a standard S-curve. All converted from Legacy to IPP2 in post.
