Very informative video but have to say I always find it funny people talking about how important it is to have a quick behind the lens ND solution when they are just shooting studio shit in a fixed environment. As if there isn’t a ridiculous amount of time in between setups to make simple external ND changes.

I really love the Breakthrough VND for going out and shooting stuff in the real world. The way it is being discussed there like it’s this make or break thing for actually using a RED camera is just silly. A lot of camera people really have a bad habit of being a bit overdramatic about gear. We are absolutely spoiled for options now.

I forgot which REDUSER member this is doing the video, forgive me if you are reading this. But I guess it's just a way to make these types of videos more interesting to make you want to stick around to the end of the video. I think the Breakthrough system is a viable alternative to RED's E-ND system. However you do lose remote controllability of the neutral density strength as is found in RED's E-ND system. But If that's not all that important to you the Breakthrough system maybe something you may want to take a serious look at.

I didn't know they were swiss, but that one looks the best for sure. Price competitive as well.
