Here's a weird one. Sold the OG and picked up an X, the price drop was too good to pass up and all the old accessories would fit...or so I thought.
I have a Kippertie Chinstrap and both the EF and PL adapters. When I went to attach the cage and lens mount I found that I couldn't get all the screws to match up. I usually keep it all a little loose then lock down the lens mount first then the cage screws. I have done this several times on the OG easily and without issue. However when trying to get the bits lined up on the X the best I could do was 5 out of 6. The last screw was out by about a mm, flipped the cage and the issue flipped to the opposite corner. It seemed like the lens mount wasn't perpendicular to the optical axis. Pulled out a feeler gauge and sure enough the distance between the locking RF collar and the RF-EF adapter was off by .002", .048" vs. .050".
Anybody else have this experience? Is the Kippertie not compatible with the X? I meticulously checked the left/right sides of the frame and focus was pretty much spot on.
Good Luck
