Hi all, new Komodo owner here. Does anyone know if there's been any additions to the lenses that the Komodo officially supports?

I have referenced this page https://support.red.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500005662182-KOMODO-Compatible-Lenses but it was last updated in March of 2021.

Are you telling me these are still the only officially compatible lenses for the Komodo? The lenses that I have that are not on the list do work of course, but there seem to be some features that may not be working.

For example, does anyone know if the Komodo supports Image Stabilization that is built into many of the Canon lenses? I own several Canon lenses with IS that are not on the official list and I don't seem to be getting any IS benefits when using them. Maybe image stabilization is not a supported feature when using them with the Komodo?

I can't tell if they're not officially supported or if they just haven't updated that article.

That being said, I've not used a single EF or RF lens on Komodo that has not been fully functional.

Some highlights:
All EF Primes up to 135mm
EF-S 17-55 f2.8 IS
Canon EF 24-70 f4
Canon EF 24-105 f4
Sigma 18-35 f1.8

All RF Lenses up to 200mm have worked for me.

Im pretty sure I've used others, but this illustrates my point. I wouldn't worry too much about lens compatibility these days.

Related question - there are several RF lenses that force in-camera distortion correction on Canon bodies - the 14-35 f/4L IS, 16 2.8, and new 28 pancake come to mind. What's the behavior of such lenses on red bodies? I assume no correction.

I do not believe they do. That being said, keep in mind that those lenses were designed for full frame bodies so when you're on a S35 sensor, you're using a smaller part of the image circle and you will inherently be using a cleaner part of the image.
