  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Komodo shipping?

I spoke to someone about their order and he said he got pushed to the 22nd and he ordered his on oct 26th. I got message that my order was pushed to the 22nd also. Is it possible for them to cover that many shipping dates within one go? Looking at the situation with covid I doubt it.. we’ll see.
 
At this point they shouldn't even gives us guestimated dates, I've had 4 already. They might as well just say within 4 months you'll recieve your camera lol I hella regret selling my camera thinking I would've recieved my baby dragon already back in december. I had to cancel multiple shoots because of it, but thank God I have patient clients right now that are willing to wait lol
 
I really did the same! Sold my Camera.. I take full responsibility in doing that.. but I totally agree with you on giving guestimates...It’s hurting the credibility at this point..which is a shame.. because I love what RED does and what they stand for. Here is to all of us receiving the baby dragon coming week!

Somebody waiting for you to receive Your camera? Very interested is what kind of projects are willing to wait.:rolleyes5: Hope its some student shorts or something.
You can always rent and make the work done.

I suppose it depends on what the hold up is. One poster mentioned that it's due to parts that are part of the package, rather than part of the camera itself, which means that the cameras are ready and awaiting shipment having already gone through assembly and testing. If that's still the case, then shipping a bunch of cameras when their missing parts arrive isn't such a stretch.

I'm hoping that's still the case. There have been a lot of hold ups at the port in LA, so...

I'm glad that I did NOT sell my Epic-W... :)

I wasn't planning on selling it anyway, but having an Epic-W does make the waiting a bit easier. The 800mm rf lens is still looking a bit sad though, without a camera to attach it to...

Yes, I also sold an epic-x that had as B camera thinking that I would have the Komodo in December as I had been told several times from RED, but at least I have continued working with my helium and a friend's dragon.

I just hope it arrives by the end of January ... for February I have a job with three cameras and having to rent having bought one is a fucking bummer
 
It seems that there is a new ETA for my order (October 26), I have been told in the chat that now I have for Friday 22 ... let's see if it is true this time...
 
Hope this will be the week we all can rejoice and receive our baby dragons!
 
FedEx delivered 3 of my 4 batteries today (the 4th is in a separate shipment, due to arrive... today, according to FedEx tracking), and since Red sent me an update today, obviously they're also working over the holiday... probably trying to get caught up as much as they can :)
 
Nice!! I’ve got 4 blue shape batteries sitting here and some canon BP’s on the way. I really hope this is the week..

One of the BlueShapes I ordered is en route, but the three are enough for a starter... they're sitting around awaiting a Komodo also though, since I have no other gear that works with those Canon style batteries :)
 
Hello, it seems that there is movement in RED ... the status of my direct order (October 26) today has changed from precessing to received !!

I am beginning to trust that it will soon be sent !!!
