I hope I am not missing anything but searches and troubleshooting failed.

Yesterday, after sitting on my desk for months, I used my Komodo's menu to format my RED-branded Angelbird CFast 2.0 card.
The formatting failed.
Multiple reboots and even a hard reset for the Komodo itself did not help (no accessories, power adapter only, pressed and held the REC button while turning on the camera and waiting for it to boot).

I then inserted my second other RED-branded Angelbord Cfast card which is almost brand new and which I know was fine, and the camera failed to format that one as well.

I know it's an issue with the camera: the cards were not used in other devices ever.
My Komodo lifetime use is only 104 hours and the cards were only used for a fraction of that to read/ write.

That's when I decided to try and format them using my laptop.
My 2021 MacBook Pro M1 Max can see the RED-branded Angelbird reader, but neither one of my CFast cards mentioned above mounts, whereas they did fine in the past: same reader, original cable, laptop and cards obviously.

Has anyone here experienced anything similar? Is there a fix?

I am starting to regret the purchase of my KOMODO.

Others have experienced the same thing. Seems some of the cards just fail even after sitting unused. I'd suggest contacting RED or wherever you bought the cards and see if you can get them replaced.

Unbelievable! I wasn't aware of this being an issue.

The same exact thing just happened to me. Did you find any solution to this issue?
