Hi all.
I have a Red Komodo, and whilst I love it, I am having an issues with lack of SDI ports.
I do a lot of documentary work, as well as commercials. I am running a Zacuto Gratical Eye as my handheld eye piece. A Portkeys BM5 III monitor. Currently, I run the Sdi to the Portkeys monitor, and the use the SDI out for my gratical eye. However, I also want to run another SDi out to a client monitor, and or a Hollyland Rx TX.

Am I over thinking this, or is this as simple as using a BNC T fitting to split the SDI coming out of camera...?

Ideally, I would like a 3 way splitter.
Is there anything out there I am yet to find that does this.

I am also hearing horror stories of people damaging their SDI ports. As such, I am looking for a solution that keeps my SDI signals strong, is compact and eloquent, and doen't damage the camera.

Any tips..?
Please send them through...

I'm currently using one of these when I want to feed my SmallHD monitor and a Vaxis Tx. It's been working flawlessly for me.

They don't have a 1:3 but they do have a 1:4 spilt. Here's a pic of how I have it rigged. I just used some double sided tape to stick the splitter to a nato clamp and attach that to the rail on my Tilta cage.

I also use the Freakshow 1 in, 2 out splitter. It does require power - I have the 2 pin LEMO version.

You can use a T but you should terminate it. Either by a device or a 75ohms terminator.
It sometimes even work without terminator
