Robert,
I also had some challenges connecting my iPhone (in my case it was V.13.6) to my link adapter but John at support offered these steps which worked brilliantly and had the added benefit of confirming that my link adapter was functioning correctly. The key here is that you will at first connect in via the browser using the phone IP. Once you can see the web UI, you can then activate Red Control and use it normally,
Connect mobile device to the KOMODO Link Adapter via iPhone USB cable.
On iPhone device, go to "Personal Hotspot" in the device's settings menu, and Enable "Allow Others to Join".
Verify "Trust This Computer? Your settings and data will be accessible from this computer when connected wirelessly or using a cable." message.
Select "Trust".
Verify "Device passcode to Trust This computer".
Enter passcode.
Go to Menu > Communication > KOMODO Link Adapter.
Verify a valid IP Address is supplied.
On the device, open a web browser, and input the IP address supplied in KOMODO Link Adapter menu.
Verify that the web UI is displayed in the browser.
Please note that you'll need to enable live streaming under MENU > MONITORING > LIVE STREAM to allow for streaming.
Try RED Control again.
Rather than connecting via RED Control, this will set up a browser based user interface that will help us test the connection. The browser UI will offer one control method, but please let me know if this procedure allows you to use RED Control as expected.
Hi David,
Thanks for this work through on troubleshooting the link adapter. I've gotten as far as entering the IP address on the web browser but am not getting anything but an unloaded webpage. I've tried manually entering the link ip address (which your steps above were able to generate for me, so thanks for that as well) but red control doesn't seem interested. Thought on how to get the link adapter to be seen by red control?
Thanks,
Woodruff
