  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Komodo jumps frames on playback. . .

Did anyone who actually has the problem open a support ticket? I wouldn't expect much deeper troubleshooting (or even a fix) in the forum here.
 
I did not open a support ticket. I assumed someone else did. It's a terrible comparison, of course, but it's a case of Kitty Genovese all over again. . .
 
It's ridiculous. You'd think of all the things that a camera ought to be able to do, one of them is the ability to play back a clip without stuttering!
 
Happy to report that the BETA firmware v. 1.6.2 fixed the stuttering playback.

It's funny that the release makes no mention of the playback issues at all. Are you absolutely certain it's fixed?

It appears to be. I was in touch with Red Tech Support and even had my Komodo checked out. I was told that the beta firmware would resolve this and based on my non-scientific testing, it appears to be a thing of the past. It's clean on both the built in screen during playback as well as via SDI out to a monitor.
