Komodo: Bye Bye Blue / Stormtrooper RF-EF?

Does anyone know if the "Bye Bye Blue" or Stormtrooper versions come with the RF-EF adapter?

I'm on the fence about switching all my EF glass to RF.

No Komodo kit comes with any sort of RF-EF adapter from RED specifically, but there are a ton to purchase elsewhere for relatively decent prices.

I think OP is asking because it seemed from a few unboxing vids that the pre-production models did come with an adapter attached.

The orange “Grossman Gold” ones included an RF-EF adapter. I don’t know about the yellow ones... no word yet in the blue (if they make them) or the storm trooper ones and what will be included. I’m sure that will all be revealed once orders, specifically Storm
Trooper, open up.

The only reason I see as to why an EF-RF adapter might be included, is if RF autofocus is not implemented.
But this is an accessory you can always buy off the shelf at minimal cost.

The RF-EF adapter is basic without the control ring, I assume? Has anyone heard anything about plans (or desires) to make the control ring on the Canon one useable?

I asked the same question about the Canon adapter w/ control ring in the mount adapter thread... I want to think it would be enabled for use once the RF protocol support is enabled. It would be handy to have the control ring version and maybe de-click it.

Oh cool – I still haven't figured out how to properly use the search function in this forum (I just spent 20 minutes trying to find info about the ext port!) Yeah, I wonder if the ring is capable of a gradual iris pull on an ef lens when declicked, that would be sweet. Or even a gradual pull while keeping the clicks would be great.

Yes they are shipping with an adapter, it says so right in the main confirmation to order email.
