This is a Chinese knock off HMI Compact Fresnel like the Came-TV style HMI. It has the less fancy ballast that only works with this head and uses a powercon connector for the head cable. It looks like this kit:

I bought it for a project but it wasn't big enough to do the job so I had to rent a 2500 watt. The unit is new with almost no hours on it. I put the the Chinese lamp back in it so it is a bit noisy but you can put an Osram in, it's quiet. The fan is more noisy on this ballast than my arri ballast. Also, the shipping case has a slight dent in it. It's a big light at a decent price- $700 plus shipping.
