Now this guy would have been a real pain to work with.

[Steve Sanacore]

It amazes me that people like that ever work again. Why should anyone have to endure a personality like that from anybody?

[Adrian Sims]

Werner Herzog has certainly had to work with some hotheads in his time. Perhaps it's sometimes the price of a great on-screen performance?:head_explode:

[Danish P.V.]

Kinski was a crazy guy, but did brilliant performances. But I wouldn`t like to work with him either.

[Nir Shelter]

klaus "Ramsay" Kinski

[Tom Lowe]

God I watched that behind-the-scenes doc about making Fitzcarraldo. What an ordeal! That probably took 10 years off of Herzog's lifespan.

[Danish P.V.]

That probably took 10 tears off of Herzog's lifespan.

Just 10 tears? ;-)

wow, interesting :couch:

[Yannick Hagman]

Klaus Kinski was very bright and a phenomenal actor, but totally nuts and egocentric. He snapped out every moment the focus wasn't on him. He founded the image of the crazy german. I believe Karl Lagerfeld is his abandoned brother. It must be.

[Gavin Greenwalt]

Great film and great documentary behind the scenes. I highly recommend both.

Both remind me of the Heart of Darkness/Apocalypse now Docu/Film combo.

[chuck colburn]

I don't care what he does/did. He gave the world his daughter wraped in a python and that is all that matters. lol

[Vince K]

I don't care how talented an actor is....no 'talent' is worth that. EVER.

Should have let the aboriginals finish the job.

[Stefan Christou]

Wow. Anyway I love this quote: "...Kinski, compared with his previous outbreaks seemed rather mild."

Personally I really like unashamed egomaniacs.

Nice link Yannick
