Hi guys - I'm new to IR film/photo so please excuse my dumb questions but now that I have received my Kippertie IR Spectrum OLPF, how do I achieve footage that looks like the following?

Straight from the camera, I'm getting a magenta image that looks like this:

(the above was taken on an overcast day shot at 23.98 1/48 5600k 800 ISO)

You have to make post adjustments, you know that right?

Use the white balance tool.

Then adjust levels to taste.

The first image is black and white (saturation 0%) with lots of contrast added. They might have also used a polarizer to get the skies that dark, check if your polarizer works with the OLPF, mine does, but my ND does not.

which polarizer do you recommend for matte boxes? Or circular for canon glass

I use a 138mm tru pola from Schneider. I'm not sure if polarizers care about wavelength, but the tru-pola definitely works great in infrared.

Remember only the sky at a 90 degree angle from the sun is strongly affected by a polarizer (the entire horizon at noon, straight above at sunset/sunrise, etc).

Does anyone know if MOTION MOUNT works on controlling the exposure with IR spectrum?
