Hello REDUSER

Have mostly sat back and learned throughout my time here, but now need a little advice.

Looking into purchasing a 3 Light Kino Flo Kit from B&H and was wondering if you think this is an investment that can pay itself back.

Am new to this, but am very interested in renting out independently (or if possible through a rental house somehow).

Kit Includes the following:

  • Extension Cable for 4-Bank Fixture - 25'

Let me know what you think and any advice about investing in and renting out equipment.

Hey Mason, it's hard to say if they will pay themselves off without knowing your intended use.
Are you a DP with camera and are just looking to add lights? If so I would think you would be able to make your money back over time.
If you are planning to just buy them to rent to people without offering other grip or lighting it may be a tough sell.
They are a great investment (for me anyway) and they are great lights.

Thanks Jeff for your response. I would likely be shooting and renting my equipment with me, but there will be many opportunities where I am hoping to rent it out when I am working elsewhere.

Would $75/day be too low for the whole kit?
