I am looking into the possibility of using a few for basic motion capture. Its interesting and affordable its just a matter of working out whether it is better than other indie-style motion capture workarounds.

Laptop + Kinect + 3D Camera tracker could create an interesting dense point cloud scene scanner. Would be limited to interiors though since the range I imagine is pretty limited.

I doubt it would be able to hold up to any complex tasks but general gestures, walk cycles and minor interaction could possibly be captured.
