  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Killer REDCINE De-Bayer System Discovered!

You'll only need a Warehouse or two to network all the computers that make up this one engine. 7000 Dual core computers make up this one render engine.
I suspect its in the 2.0phz (Petahertz) range.

Phew...at least it will fit in my office. I got worried until I saw that it only occupies 6000 square feet. I thought I might need a warehouse to store it. And they got it in under the Billion dollar price tag, actually way under. I'm putting an order in for one today. Send me your Red footage and I'll process it for you.

The technology breakthrough was accomplished by engineers from the Los Alamos National Laboratory and the IBM Corp. on a computer to be used primarily on nuclear weapons work, including simulating nuclear explosions.

The computer, named Roadrunner, is twice as fast as IBM's Blue Gene system at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, which itself is three times faster than any of the world's other supercomputers, according to IBM.

"The computer is a speed demon. It will allow us to solve tremendous problems," said Thomas D'Agostino, head of the National Nuclear Security Administration, which oversees nuclear weapons research and maintains the warhead stockpile.
Yeah, what a great purpose.
I'm sure Einstein and Tesla would be really proud.

Yeah, I agree they would be proud. After all, this allows simulated testing so that actual atmospheric testing doesn't have to be done. Very good for the testes.

Actually, I was being sarcastic regarding the nuclear weapon development, but I agree on this.
