The Rocket Red experience:
You guys were amazing to have on board this project, so very professional, happy and funny, the camera worked flawlessly and the final images looked fabulous!!! So I cant really say enough good things about the whole experience really......

The spots:

Sponge

Photographer

Aunty

Those are f*ing hilarious. Great looks as well Scott.

i really like the "aunty" one :)

great looking stuff

Very nice: Only thing that bothers me a bit is how burnt the window in the "cake" viral is. Didn't you have ND gels for the windows?
Would you say in your experience that the dynamic range was good?

The room for the cake clip was 2 stories up. No time or budget for ND's. 3 spots shot on one day.

Godamn those are great! Had the whole production company cracking up in the office. Congrats! are they spec?

_mike

they have to be specs...don't think you can get away with "using" kids for such profane things in this country anymore, but yeah, they were great :-)

They're not specs. They're viral. A lot of companies are doing this now, saying and doing things you could never get away with on the old ancient TV.

I love these ads by the way. This is def my favorite stuff shot with the Red so far.

First ad is the best commercial I have seen in MONTHS! 2nd one needs work. Can't have a weak punchline with the kid tugging at the camera.

Maybe a baseball bat to dads nuts and then walk off? :):):)

Sidderke,

"Spec" is generally a spot made without permission or endorsement from the client or ad agency. Usually done for the reel of a production company, or young director.

"Viral" has come to mean a spot that plays outside of the normal TV/Cinema channels. The term comes from videos that get passed around on the internet because they are entertaining, not because they are forced on people.
