  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Key Mapping Reference Sheet

I looked into a small batch of temporary tattoos but that wasn't too cost effective... T-shirts could be handy though; I'd say leave it blank and you can fill them in with a sharpie.

Could be a great idea for the build is have the ability to have this Hot Key Map(similar to the picture diagram), to be displayed on-screen. That would be intuitive.

If this version was formatted for 16x9, you could fill it in and covert to an R3D snapshot to cue up from the redmag... If I rearranged the layout, would anyone bother? I don't mind doing it, but would personally rather just have a printout stuffed in my pocket/the camera case... But yeah it would be awesome as an built-in function that simply displayed what the current arrangement was.

I need start reading the Manual... lol still trying to figure out where to save the custom lay out so I don't have to reset them after each reboot. :)

Thanks for the great response! I'm stoked this made it on Crucial Ordinance...

I like the idea.

Would it be helpful if the image could be saved to SSD?

Yes! That would be awesome. Need a good graphic designer to come up with something that could be legible on 480p touchscreen.

Just hit the 'Create...' button in the presets menu and select 'Keys' as the property to be stored. Give it a cool name.

Something I'm having trouble figuring out. I've created a custom keys layout and saved it. Then I change the keys some more and I want to update the layout with my new changes. Do I need to create a new preset and delete the old one or is there a way to update the current custom preset?

If you go to the Presets dialog there is now (version 4.0.x +) an "Update..." button under the lists of presets. Chose the preset you want to update and press this button. This will bring up the create dialog preset pre-populated with all the fields you had in that preset. You can add and remove new keys if you want, and then re-save the preset. Note, all the parameters in the preset will be updated to their current system values. That is, this is not an EDIT function were you can change the value of a particular field in the preset. This feature was added to accommodate what you are suggesting.

The "Clone..." button functions in a similar fashion but will save the preset with a new name.
