Kessler Crane CineSlider Group Buy - Feb 2012

Thanks again Martin! I put in the order for a 3 footer and accessories a few days ago, and in what would be best described as a mad buying frenzy, put in another order for a 5 footer last night just about 30 minutes before the deadline. Me AND my credit card company thanks you MUCH!!!lol

If you are going to NAB this year, beers are on me!

I ordered mine, wish I would've had the money to add the feet or another tripod/head but for now what is the best way to mount it on my tripod on one side and Monopod on the other side? Or lightstand I've read as well? Any reccomendations?

All I could afford is the slider and a quick release.

Will be here next Wednesday. I'll try to get it out to play with by then!

I assume you ordered the 5ft slider? If so, respectfully, do NOT use a monopod on the other end! Make sure the stand has at least 3 legs and is stable enough to support some weight. A light stand, like you said, or another tripod. It does not need to be a pricey one, just a stable one that can hold the weight you plan on supporting. But NO monopods!

3ft actually...

Thanks Martin for setting this up, mine got here today and the initial excitement died very quickly.

Am I crazy or does the center mounting point on the 3 footer not accept 3/8 screws from the bottom? Mine only appears to accept them from the top...which is pretty pointless when trying to put a quick release or mount the slider somehow. The only way I can put a quick release on my slider is from the top right under the track and cart...that doesn't get it on a tripod though haha. I emailed someone at Kessler. Gotta say it's a bit of a bummer if something went wrong. Was looking forward to using it for some work this week...hoping i'm missing something here but don't think I am.

It appears mine was milled incorrectly or something for accepting screws.
