  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Kenyon Gyro

i shot with the ks 8 from a astar heli chasing a seaplane around. i wish it was with the red but it was not. my set up is a shoulder mount with a ks-8 ,in the horizontal axis,only .a steady horizontal is a way better look. also found a interior light fixture we took out ,making a hole to mount a bungy cord to take some weight off my shoulder. i sent the kenlab boys the link and they loved the footage the now have put it up on their site. will be using the same set up with the red in hawaii soon. the footage is at www.jetaddiction.com click on movies and click on the seaplane.

that seaplane footage was smooth as glass.

Nice footage. Is all of that hand held with one KS-8? Did you do anything in post?

I am putting a new demo up this week with loads of aerials check it out starting Friday at www.whitecapvideo.com . The current one does not really have aerials.

Peter I hope the Scarlet can change lens but maybe the Epic is the way for us. We also move the rig to different machines. Shot from a very nice Eurocopter over Boston three weeks ago that is in the new demo coming out this week. Ah work getting in the way of my demo I guess it could be worse.

Nice to have found the Reduser I have been on DVinfo for years also great.
 
the seaplane shot was with one ks8 gyro and a shoulder mount. it was shot at 125 shutter speed and at 60 fps.playing at 30fps. no after affects, camera was the new hpx170 . will be getting in line for a scarlet as soon as available , what ever it ends up to be. hope to use my nikon primes lens set with it.
 
Posted the new demo on my site if you are interested in the helicopter footage. Shot 1080P 30P all aerials are normal speed with no post waves are 720p 30p/60p. Shot with XDCAM EX1

Now time to move to Red be it Scarlet, Epic, or Red one. 13th will let me know which is for me or maybe Scarlet and Epic or Red One.

kenyon Gyro and Dialogs

Does the kenyon Gyro produce any noise that would interfere with dialog sound ?
