  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Kenyon 3 Axis Gyro

I like this new concept, and with a KS-8x8 you could rum an Epic nicely and with one of this new Battery Packs http://www.cms.ken-lab.com/what-s-new/new-life-battery you can run it for over an hour strait.

$6,880 is not bad, and I like this better then the MiniGyro, the fact that you could also stack 2 of this units together is also a great thing.

hello. This video is hheld but its either shoot from a car or seqway so to start with there is no footsteps anywhere, and its a totally different story when you walk or run with a rig on your shoulder.
I have done loads of testing with gyros in many combinations to cover all axis stabilization with hheld. Just in case you are not aware, if you intent to go on shoulder and walking or running, or do medium fast pans the gyros will kick you back and create very weird motion. Gyros are best to be used either for still photography , or gimbalized devices. My old hheld rigs which where build around a 3 axis gimbal to go on shoulder worked very well as long as I didnt pan at a more than the permited rated pan speed. which I thing is around 30 degrees / sec.
Gyros do work weell if you know where to use them, or they will give you a very hard time if you dont.
best regards

I agree Kostas, the camera movement is completely expressionless/awkward. There has to be some axial feedback system built in to it before it graduates (and then as I understand it, battery is a concern).

just for the record....here is a very old video of my old device invention gimbalized shoulder mount with out a kenyon gyro and patented rig design.
though it was a hard rig to operate.. still provided some pretty good stabilization walking , cutting round the corners, doing 360s etc.
one of the ideas Iam thinking on taking in the future with more high tech approach..

and one showing the device with red one and Impero inclino ff..hehe what a beast..
