I've been playing around with some footage in RedcineX (build90) and noticed something strange. When I set a white balance in RocketX and RedcineX I get different numbers. For example i got 2925K with minus 3,2 in tint with Rocket, but with Redcine i got 3447K and minus 1.45 in tint. I did test different areas of my white paper with the same (difference) in result. Why is this? Isn't a kelvin always a kelvin or does the new color science affect this in any way?

Rocketcine-X uses the old new colour science, but Redcine-X uses the new new colour science! Make sense? The two calculate Kelvin values differently, and the new new one is apparently more accurate.

Much more accurate. People hate it when I change things, and hate it when things are not accurate. So I err on the side of accurate.
