  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

JVC developed a 8K to 4K D-ILA

Horner has since become a complete dipshit. He gave Malick a bunch of shit on The New World, and Malick basically kicked Horner the curb and went with Mozart and Wagner. hahahaha.

Mozart and Wagner aren't bad at all. Lol. :)

I haven't watched The New World yet. I must see it, the 720p rip is out. :ninja:

Horner is a prick, IMO. If you read what happened between him and Malick, Horner looks like a joke. He's been recycling his same music since Braveheart and Titanic. His accomplishments were amazing on those films, but since then, he's been riding on his reputation, IMO.

There's truth about that, I've noticed the same themes in some of his other movies, but... in an adapted form.

A Beautiful Mind wasn't bad. The main theme at least.

I liked the... music in Apocalypto too. And the movie itself, of course. Gibson has a great talent for directing.

...

Lol. On imdb.com, someone has titled his comment for Apocalypto:

"Not Your Typical Mayan Family Drama".

ROTF. :)

Excuse me for continuing the off topic Mel Gibsoning of this thread but it just made me think of one of my favourite South Park moments.

Forgive the length of this post but I just had to share... just to make sure, I want everyone to know he is one of my favourite film makers, a great director and a good actor who has made very few professional missteps... and Braveheart is one of the greats.

The terrorists have attacked the American Imagination and
the military is stumped on how to counter them. We join them
in an underground bunker where they have gathered the top
minds together to figure it out.

GENERAL
What I am about to tell you is
highly classified. Two days ago,
Muslim terrorists hijacked our
imagination. Frankly we don't know
what their next move is or how to
stop them.

SPECIALIST
In times like these the government
often turns to Hollywood for help.
You creative filmmakers can think
of idea we just can't.

GENERAL
That's why we've asked you here, M.
Night Shyal-amalam. The Sixth
Sense, Signs, The Village, all very
clever films. But can you use your
amazing idea brain now to help us
stop the terrorists?

M. NIGHT SHYALAMAN
What if... What if it turns out
they aren't terrorists? But they're
actually werewolves? From the
future?

GENERAL
Nnn.. no. No, they're terrorists.
They've been linked to Al Qaeda.

M. NIGHT SHYALAMAN
But what if Al Qaeda, it turns out,
is the group being terrorized? By
aliens?

GENERAL
No- No. That's not an idea, that's
a twist. We need ideas.

M. NIGHT SHYALAMAN
How about we make everyone think
that terrorists attacked us? But
really, we were all already dead.

GENERAL
(to a subordinate) Get him out
of here.

M. Night Shyalaman is dragged out to be replaced by Michael
Bay.

GENERAL
Mr. Bay, can you think of any idea
how to outwit these terrorists?

MICHAEL BAY
I believe I can. We start... by
making a big CG building and then
we have a meteor go CRASSHH! and
it, and it's all like CRAAWWW a-and
motorcycles burst into flame while
they jump over these helicopters,
right?

GENERAL
No no! We need ideas how to stop
the terrorists!

MICHAEL BAY
An eighteen-wheeler spins out of
control and it's all like BROSSHH
And then this huuuge tanker full of
dyna- BOOOM - CRAPOW - WOOMPH!

GENERAL
Those aren't ideas, those are
special effects!

MICHAEL BAY
(confused) I... don't
understand the difference.

GENERAL
I know you don't. Get him out of
here!

Michael is replaced by a wild eyed Mel Gibson.

GENERAL
Aaand being that we are all big Mel
Gibson film fans, we thought maybe
you could help us.

Mel twists his own nipples. Hard.

MEL GIBSON
Ah, my nipples, they hurt! They
hurt when I twist them!

The General is about ready to admit defeat on this whole
exercise and he drops his head into his hands and speaks
with no hope at all.

GENERAL
Yes, uh, I don't suppose you have
any creative ideas how to fight
these terrorists?

MEL GIBSON
How about this? You have that tape
that the terrorists made, right?
Well maybe if you did a background
check on that videotape, you might
find somebody who doesn't belong.
Somebody who doesn't fit
Imaginationland.

Mel twists his nipples again and moans. While everyone looks
up at him.

SPECIALIST
Heyy... that's not a bad idea.

GENERAL
Yeah. Say what you will about Mel
Gibson, but the sonofabitch knows
story structure. Get the videotape
and do a background check on
everyone in it!

Mel is still twisting his nipples and grinning like a
madman.

MEL GIBSON
Oogh! Yess!

It was in Imaginationland... I believe it was episode I. The thing was actually arced over three episodes - 10, 11, 12 of season 11. I kind of stopped watching South Park a few years back but have re-found it the last couple weeks and I've been catching up. There was a slump back in the early seasons that lost me but the later seasons have gotten smarter with the gross out and shock humour more pointed.

Comedy Central has the episodes online here in Canada at: http://watch.thecomedynetwork.ca/south-park/season-11/ but that may be region blocked to you.

The South Park guys are pretty lenient about their full episodes up on the Internet though and there should be plenty of legitimate sources if you want to avoid the torrents.

First time you saw it?

Yep.

Gotta watch it several times more, cause it's obviously DEEP.

Man, is this movie GORGEOUS visually or what?!

It almost hurt, I'm telling ya. :)

I blasted the 720p through a DLP projector and almost shit in my pants. :help:

Malick is a fellow convert: from philosophy to films.

OMG.

Yep. I sat in the theater when I saw The New World, with my mouth gaping open. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Malick is just on a different level than everyone else.

Thanks again for turning me onto this 720P copy... I owe you!

Yeah. Have you ever seen my little tribute I made to The New World and TTRL?

http://www.vimeo.com/775207

I mostly made it so I could watch all my favorite shots and scenes on my video ipod when I'm out shooting timelapses under the stars. :)

Lol I just saw your Elvis singing video in vimeo. Very impressive! :)

how is your english so good, BTW?

vocabulary, etc. you seem to have a good handle on american slang too. haha.
