I don't know what to say about it... It's still wrapped in my head, but all I can say is, the opening shots are beautiful, and the ending shot will probably live on in film history as one of the best shots ever conceived in my opinion.

yea man, i was stoked from beginning to end. especially knowing from one of the first shots early on that everyone was doomed. It was a beautiful movie. alexa makes good images. Only gripe was the mega shaky cam. other than that, i loved it.

I love Lars Von Trier. Looking forward to this movie, whatever it was shot on. :)

As same as Europa/Zentropa, as for instance in practically anyone of his works. He is one of the best moviemakers ever IMO (E :-)

I enjoyed it. I dont know why people bashing this film on the forum but it was something unique and done just right. Bravo.

More than likely because all of Triers films are extremely weird and difficult to wrap your head around. Sometimes I think even he doesnt have any idea what the movie is about... however all of his films are beautifully shot and should be seen on even those merits alone.

I think Melancholia is the least confusing of all his films.

Simply about the end of the world from two perspectives and what effect it has on them.

AntiChrist on the other hand is so much more complex.

They are in my favorite films of all time. So much symbolism and beauty mixed with hate and depression.

Lars Von Trier is a depressed weird man.

I see what you meant. But it is precisely the opposite :) I agree to disagree.
