Just toasted a SSD MAG-Reader

Hi Guys,

Terrible error at the end of a long day, had a multi volt adaptor we'd grabbed for one of the monitor and then forgot to put the voltage back down before plugging in RED Reader - thankfully data okay. Needless to say smell of burning and then no more reader.

I'm going to fire off an email to RED to see if its fixable but just seeing if anyone had done something similar (I appreciate its unlikely to find anyone as idiotic) and whether they had a home fix.

I would just buy a new reader, totally not worth risking any media in that reader from this point on. You're extremely lucky that the data didn't get fried.
