Hello,

I have just finished shooting a fashion Film with the RED ONE MX in Varispeed at 120fps. I love this camera, I have filmed two other shorts with it and it has never failed to impress me. I know there is a light flicker scan from the lights, I requested HMI lights with hi frequency ballasts but the studio in all there wisdom decided not to give them to me, so was forced to use my Lowell Rifa Lights. Have a look, please tell me what you think. We might be cutting a longer version so any feedback would be great !

Very beautiful pictures.
I just don't like the reflection of the light in the eye of the character at 0:20.
But except that, nice film :-)
And I like light flicker scan effect. In the first plan, that give to the picture a dream/surreal side.

Wow Grade Detail -James Butler
I think you use ARRI Lens?

James,

I think the pulsating flickers goes great with the heartrate!
What song is playing in the background?

I have the same question as Koray. It's a very interesting piece, and has an impact nonetheless. I'd say next time watch the honeycombs/grids on the softboxes - they make odd catchlights, and often add little perceptible effect to the lighting.
