  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Just ordered my Scarlet.

Im gutted, my Scarlet due to arrive today, called FedEX to see where it was to be told FedEX wont deliver it to my area until the 19th of November, WTF!!!!

Did you order other parts?

Did you check the weight of the order as well?

I got burned once thinking it was the Scarlet but checked the weight and turned out to be the LCD :(

The waiting is the hardest part...
 
Its not the weight, its to do with me living in the North of Scotland, a lot of couriers wont do overnight, but usually two days, which i kind of expected.
However, FedEX is saying it only delivers once a couple of weeks to this area, which makes no sense. So my Scarlet Mount Package, plus SSD drive is going to sit in a warehouse until their scheduled delivery to this area, which is really not what i want.......

Argh.....
 
Its frustrating as Red Europe have the whole packaged dispatched, its purely a FedEx issue.......

I was asking about the weight just in case you get your hopes all high for a Scarlet and a SSD mag or LCD Touch shows up.

Been there, hate the feeling :P

And your warranty begins when the unit is dispatched too.

The FedEx seems bizarre, as you will have paid for overnight/next day delivery & to wait 10 days...

How far is the nearest FedEx distribution centre, as it might be more logical to go and pick it up (if that's a possibility).
 
Crap I didnt realise the date you posted.

I cant, nearest depot is 100 miles away, and its not even there, went there, and then back to England, to their parkhouse depot....
I could cry lol....
 
Awesomeness that is Red Europe on the case, but its a merely a FedEx issue, after speaking with my wife, turn out we have had the same issue with them over pharmacy supplies, that urgent medical supply was bounced back down the chain with their strange delivery date situation.....
 
So there is something wrong with FedEx's internal system if the package goes to Scotland and is turned back to England - only to be sent again. Who knows how many times this can happen before you get the parcel.

Very odd - you'd think there'd be a 'let's not send this package out yet' policy if you're in a known problem delivery area.

I'd be angry as you're loosing warranty time... and the amount of transit time the package is having.

Sorry FedEx have ruined your weekend!

On the bright side, your previous BMC camera looks to be a way off, so the Scarlet will be great when you get it!

I suppose they'll wiggle out of it with a 95% UK coverage claim...

But you'd think logic would apply sometimes, especially with urgent medical supplies!

Are there any couriers in your area that offer better coverage (or at least, normal delivery times?).
 
Hadnt realised about the warranty starting at the point of shipping, that seems odd....

And you got a tracking number?
Thats pretty awesome considering your are abroad.
Im just north of RED and its three weeks already with no word.

Eric, i ordered it two days ago, and it was shipped yesterday, cant complain on that service. If i was located in a major city, i would have had it today.
And, yes, i have the tracking number and everything. I would be going stir crazy if i was you.

Haha what me crazy!!
Actually now I am, we are having our first snow fall tomorrow and need it for an upcoming project :P
Oh well, Im sure I'll have more chances later.
