So I upgraded #801 this morning and when I went to do the Black Shading my RED said "Black Shading Failure" "Not really sure what you should do".

I just laughed my ass off.

No suggestions on what to do ..... just "Not really sure what you should do"

I did figure it out, but thought it was the funniest thing ever.

I just had to reformat the CF card then it worked fine.

I thought to myself ...... those RED guys really have a good sense of humor.

Still laughing about it now as I relive the moment. :rofl:

Did that too when I got the camera back from RED (in record time, I might add).

Please, don't change it. It's that little spice of life that pops up now and again that make life fun. It also probably has the desired effect of calming down someone who is about to become irate. I just looked at it, laughed because neither one of us were quite sure what to do. So "we" just tried it again and everything worked fine.

I don't know, its pretty darn funny, agreed. I don't know what else it could say besides, "try again", I think it should stay the way it is.

Problem with humorous message is that it resets the camera to 23.98 time base for some reason, which means if you black shade during a longform and you aren't paying very close attention you get boned if you weren't already at 23.98...
