  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

This could be interpreted a number of ways...

1. You can't buy one until orders open up.

2. You can't buy one because they aren't yet available.

3. You can't buy one because they are going to be rental only.
or
4. YOU can't buy one because you are on a secret No Buy list.

Thanks, Jarred. Now I understand what those Ana sensors are. This thread was the first place I'd heard about that. Lot of exciting news on here recently. Looking forward to seeing the images people create with these new cameras.. Especially the images from the 8k weapons.

#1.. The first batch was completely sold out within 20 minutes of me posting about them :). Next round will likely come in August.

question about weapon MG upgrade

OK...I have a question.....I have been out of the country for a couple of weeks and haven't been on the forums as much. I figured it was the month of Raven, so I planned to just keep busy and check back in June. I also want to preface this question with the thankful acknowledgment that I was one of the guys granted the extremely generous weapon MG upgrade from Scarlet-W (Thanks Jarred and Brent!). I also want to thank my Reps Nick and Dan for processing the upgrade. Just wondering how I fit into the weapon queue (am I really looking at just a week delay?). Is it like a new weapon order from the day I switched or am I waiting for my Scarlet allocation (Oct 26th)?.......Just looking for a little clarification. I feel like I'm really close (Fingers Crossed) and have a bunch of DSMC2 accessories to try out!...The excitement is killing me! I know there are many others on here with way worse problems than me, but trust me your moment is coming, be patient and let things run their course. Waiting is part of the cost of having one of the hottest new pieces of tech in our field.

I have seen and experienced the whole range of emotions on this forum. I can say from experience, that Jarred and Brent have been really great at responding to constructive criticism appropriately, while doing their best to keep all of the customers here happy. So continue to speak freely and passionately but please understand that they are doing their best!...and lets continue to keep the dialogue productive... (as it has been)....I would be saying this whether or not I got an upgrade!

Haven't been able to keep up with the forums too much lately, but where do Scarlett-Dragon upgrades fall in the queue?
 
Hi all,

Apparantly we all know that not many people have received their scarlet-w in the US. Does anyone know there is only ONE red scarlet-w and FOUR Raven in Australia? I know it's hard to get a camera from red at this stage, I'm feeling sad for Australia. (Even though I'm flying to LA in July, don't think I'll have lucks getting SW over there. )

We don't mind waiting but please give us more updates since rumours is saying the next shipping to Australia is in November or even later. (Which is.... A really bad news if it's true)

Wait... So the 8k Ana will be available for sale eventually? That's awesome! Any word on what upgrade options (if any) may be possible for that in fall or thereafter?

Yes indeed. You will need a Weapon to go to the 8K VV or 8K VVA.

What's the difference between an 8K VV and an 8K VV Anamorphic? The obvious is that one is anamorphic, but aren't the regular VV still able to do ANA? This is the first I hear of the 8K being made in two versions.

It was explained several times in this thread. The regular 8K camera still does ana and non ana. Now there is a new 6.7k version with the same sensor height as the 8k, but less large. So it's the perfect ratio for ana, but you can still shoot non ana with a 6.7k resolution. It's cheaper because easier to make, with a bit less resolution for spherical.

I wouldnt of thought they ship scarlet w in country batches? I presume when you get allocated in the queue no matter where you come from they would ship the camera to you. Iv never heard of waiting to ship a batch to a country before.
