I had no question about the H1 and it goes back now many many years.

I’m 51 now but at 13 yrs. old I got a pair of OAKLEY 3’s for my race bike: it fucking changed my life.

Subtle Oversteering with the way they edged out to cup the hands. Fucking genius.

Could jump higher and stick way fatter landings.

I had a hunch whoever the guy was who made em was a REAL RIDER.

This has been a thread my whole life and when he says thanks for believing in me I say no fuggin question man I’ve got skin in this game, literally.

Anyone else have a similar experience?

Chuck what are you riding? I do a lot of mountain biking, running a hightower, fox factory fork and ohlins rear, WR1 rims, TRP with enve cockpit

Back at you with some big topspin across the net franky baby boy- why so sad?

It was made in a garage by a guy who sold parts out of his van at races. You know who.

HANDMADE by a rider for a rider
RED cam is no different

I know it can be lost in translation but indeed it was a profound experience
It’s hard to explain to non riders and in a milly I’d never expect a non rider to grock how important winning races is.
I’d never expect you to understand, think the Slipknot song Eeyore comes to
Mind for some reason lol.

All good baby boy !

Classic things people say (on the wire) that would Never go down face to face. I’ve seen it before no worries here.

Believe me.

So ya anyone else remember the 3?

Blue Iridiums?

It’s a thread.

Ties right into my trust of a real maker.

Once again I think we share a hemisphere through quantum entanglement.

That's the one thing I have always wanted to ask Jim Jannard.

I am a designer, I grew up in the film industry have done a lot on the NEW digital frontier, obsessed with ALL forms of photography (Still and motion), obsessed with industrial design... OBESSED with machining and machining processes and have invented some serious shizzle in the digital frontier; and I'm still struggling to smash that all together in a way that really ignites to roll my products out cuz you can't eat ideas.

So I have to admit I have always wanted to sit down and have beer with the guy (as I have never met him) and say OK... How did you get from selling grips out the back of your car to serious industrial processes and build the empires (plural) you have built... and so on.

I would almost give anything to sit down and LISTEN to how he connected those dots.

ALSO would really LOVE to see a lot of the artwork you NEVER get to see.

He IS a designer's designer,

He is a Business man's business man,

An inventor's inventor and innovator.

A Philanthropist's philanthropist...

A Machinists, Machinist...

An optical guy's optical guy.

A strategist strategist ..

And yet knows the value of things that are important to anyone's life.

JUST to be able to SHUT UP and listen to HOW Jim Jannard connected all those dots... Probably take more than one beer though.

And I have always wondered whether my "old man " and Jim jannard ever crossed paths in Canada? Or spent five minutes at his drawing board... Weird hunch/ vibe that may be 100% erroneous.

BUT I would say @ CHUCK HYDROGEN is that for me and HYDROGEN future... that's gonna be MY Bike Grip
:-)

No matter what I'mpretty sure even before My 19th that glowing black rectangle WILL change my life and ALSO... Will create A LOT of new US jobs on SOIL USA... Even though I'm struggling to stay away from the edge of the cliff I feel good about be the possibility of in part creating new jobs. I won't connect to many dots but I have a good feeling about that Foxconn USA ecosystem.

Fucking bullseye once again Dr. Lange.

Connect those dots!

It really was those fuggin grips....

OK I'll preface this with I have had couple of shots ( I don't actually normally drink)..

OK so get this... 'My bike grips" JOHN Chamber's HOLOGRAM at the Science museum in LONDON... BIG TIME...

Awesome I get to meet the guy that built something that stuck in my mind for decades... And really influenced me.

Second to that would be at the age of 15 visiting the Kit Peak National Observatories thanks to Dr David Soren U of A... And DR steve ridgeway... I was 15 at the time ... Saw Breakfast Club on my 15 B-day at U of A was hanging out with very cute girl from U of A and Lea Marvin's grand daughter LOL...

Anyway going being the scenes at U of A at the Astronomy department where they build really f*cking intense large instruments influenced the hell out of me... That NORMAL people could do such things and I felt ... HEY I want to be able to do things like that...

So ironically John Chambers posted an APOLLO video that I have never seen about "Ordinary people doing incredible things" ... Basically building VAB and Saturn 1B and other launch systems.... Will dig up eventually the link.

Gotta check on Monty and retire for the evening.

Cheers,

E

Third or fourth would be my brother's Leica that he leant me at the age of 8 and he showed me how to use it ... So began mu obsession with photography but the Dark room and still department at EMI /boremwood and my father really helped make those shots look amazing ;-)

ohlins is sweet, still getting it dialed in, no pop on the jumps but smooth on everything else. I might need to pick up a PK, Scotty Cramers shop is about a mile from my house and they stock them, probably best I dont ride my SC to school with my daughter anymore lol. We ride our bikes to school almost everyday likes its 1986

The Leica!
The Mind of John C !!
The Argus C3 !!!

Mr “ASC LEGEND” Tom Del Ruth and his lovely wife Patricia (live here in Bend) lensman of B Club walking down the street with The “Juice” curiously asking me “what I’m up to” with a rigged out DMSC1 on the set BESETMENT (fuggin surreal that was)

My beloved Director swimming with the pigs in Ibiza only to find the beloved Mr. Deakins sharing his Own Personal pics (LEICA) of PIRATES with the unassuming bar patrons who know not whom he is. Talking politics sharing points of view....

What an amazing contextual thread of life the RU is a living breathing organism.

Even if some Debbie Downer here needs a hug we still got you!

Wow Dr. E can you believe, as you so deftly put it: QUANTUM ENTANGLEMENT

“Morris let’s broaden our horizons!” - Jack N

“ AAAAAHH KILLA SIDESHOW BABA!” - BOOSTY C, BABY!

Love you fuckers.

OAKLEY 3

DEFINATELY

UNQUESTIONABLY

(and that makes me very happy, and I'm sure that makes a certain keeper of the Jams very happy and excited about the future).

[One thing I left off my list was TEAM BUILDER...]

I paid very close attention to how employees at OAKLEY still "kept the faith"... Read a lot of those comment on Jim Jam's FB page and other's. Really speaks volumes as to what an excellent and enduring team builder the man is.

Gets the blood going and in terms also of BRAND and CULTURE building within the brand all of this for H1 and HYDROGEN "Nebula" couldn't come at a more perfect time.

That level of synchronicity is really hard to beat.

OAKLEY 3 [BANG ON]...

We live out in cowboy country and The Code is strictly adhered to always was and always will be.

Music is to art as composition is to image as ethics in the way we treat each other is the thread that holds our jackets together in this wind and rain.

Those in the flow stay inside: cowboy code to call it like we see it.

Time to ride some wheelies.

I found a pair on eBay and gonna pop em on my Beta.

OAKLEY 3’s for life motherfuckers! Hehe
They STILL rock.

Legacy shit.

How we will see the H1 in another 30 years Jah willing.

Slipknot - "Psychosocial" (LIVE from Day Of The Gusano) ----> So unbelievably perfect...

Seriously ASSAULT YOUR F*CKING SENSESE ; beyond perfect. The way the play with the channels and the different textures and the way that the sonic textures they try to layer SO A3D is going to be so f*cking perfect for them + H4V as displayed on HYDROGEN BUT H4V pulled out in VR space for serious mindf*ck video game will be beyond stellar. THE THING I REALLY LIKE ABOUT THIS... IS HOW ARTSISTS WILL SEE THIS AS THEIR PLATFROM...

I had a nephew in-law (if there is such a thing) I still do ... He went through some really tough tough times when he was in his late teens and early 20's . he lost his old man to cancer (Agent Orange) and his mother also died of Terminal cancer... So he was in his this house of his mother's with his grand parents "looking after him" but frankly they were a pain the ass .. I DID buy them house in Florida and looked after them for about ten years... As my nephew needed to sell the house so he could go to college... Great guy; And I helped him with his portfolio so he could get into Rhode Island School of Design (f*cking difficult school to get into)... BUT long story short after going through some really difficult times , he had this huge fg-ing drum kit that he set between the SOFA and this tiny TV set where his "grand parents" would sit and attempt to watch TV (cuz) his grandfather was a grade A Aho.. (he never said than you once for buying him a house and saving his ass from the street ... ) So my nephew would listen to this unbelievable dense fusion between PUNK and heaviest densest thrash metal you have ever heard in your life ... So one day he out his headphones on ME to check it out cuz he knew I was a musician and it was so unbelievably dense... So for ME Slipknot seem like a fun and really awesome sound space by comparison as they are not so super fucking angry and super dense.

I like and lot of fun and can definitely see why they are so popular and kida funny too ( I like that)...

I haven't been in-touch with my nephew in a number of years but he builds a lot of conceptual installations for big name artists in NEW York and I think he is REALLY gonna dig this... Really talented guy and I think he IS going to really DIG the creative possibilities and PLATFORM with HYDROGEN...

I have always wanted to do a project with him as he always was supportive of my R&D and work (spiritually ) he got to hang with me for a time in UK and also in NM. He's one talented f*ck that needs a good break as his head is very much in this space too... Really smart creative guy with and edge that has nothing fake about it at all..

https://www.risd.edu/

TMI but its; the truth and really digging that fusion visually and "Sonically" for Slipknot

That's a great f*cking share @ Chuck !

That's made my day! (Happy man).
