I think his first avatar change meant Epic-X is soon, and his latest means that Red is about to smoke the competition, again.

Or, perhaps he heard about a RAW module for the 7D and 5D and had been wondering about it for a while? And now he finally heard that it won't even come close to Red Code for the high end? A sigh of relief that his product has no rival in any aspect.

Or a combination of all of the above.

Whatever it is, it must be good. If he is happy all Red One owners should rejoice.

I see it as a sort of Bermuda Triangle Mystery: ARRI, RED, CANON.

Could be that MYSTERIUM-X is going to solve that mystery and could even swallow the two other competitors, ARRI and CANON.

What is going on there we'll see it in about time frame of one year or so...

He definitely picked the better one, but much more telling in succession.

Then again we never know, maybe he just felt like changing it.

BTW: Red One upgrades are ready! $4,000 a pop. And Jarred sort of confirmed that they fired something up. Possibly not the same thing... maybe the ASICs are ready and they got an Epic-X to boot!
