Hello!
I just posted this project I shot for my wife earlier in August. All handheld and gently stabilized, 95% of it was shot with the Canon 50mm 1.2L shot nearly wide open (since I'm still waiting on a set of DSO's )
. The one thing I feel I gave up on was getting a reasonable match between the closeups and the wides on the last section in the canyon. We used the last splash of light to grab the closeups and shot the wides after the sun went behind the clouds after which the light went super flat. Basically, I still struggle working with dead light in post on motion projects because everything more or less becomes a midtone and grading gets tricky. On stills projects, it's the best light you can ask for (especially here in NM), but I've still got plenty to learn in the motion realm. Any guidance would be huge.
Thanks!
