  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

JETLEV (Water Propelled Jet Pack!)

I had the pleasure of meeting Nelson Tyler about a year and a half ago, besides the Tyler mounts that he is so famous for he also invented the "Jet Pack" that you would see at the opening of EPCOT etc. He also invented the remote control bowling ball, wacky guy!

If it wasn't for daring inventions I don't think we would all be talking here, would we?

The water jet looks cool, any chance of blowing your foot off?

No kidding... can you imagine two 10 person squads battling in a secluded
cove in new zealand?

roto out the tether and sled... add pyro and weapons... and could be an awesome battle scene!!

I'd like 20 of these with pilots for that shot and 2 Epics with 617 Monstro
and 645 sensors please :gun:

To answer everyone's question about the powerful water coming out of those nozzles, yes, they are super strong but only at the nozzle point. By the time it has reached the knee/feet area, it has dissipated in energy that it's like an extra strong shower head but virtually harmless. Let's just say It'll keep your feet clean...

Tyler Nelson's is very cool but the only problem is that it's SO dangerous and you can only fly for 1min max or something? Either way, it's quite a spectacular site!
 
That thing is the new Seadoo. I want three.

Only thing I would be concerned about would be debris. What if you're 30 feet up and a branch gets sucked into the jet?

Also that little boat thing needs a flag on it so that nobody runs it over. :D

Actually, I imagine he was having a colonic cleansing and thought "hey, what if the hose pointed out?"

Just kidding, it looks like a lot of fun.

Haha...yeah...to make a long story short, yep...he did wake up one day and just decided to go make a Jet Pack.

As for the underwater thing...yeah...this can go underwater for brief periods of time like a dolphin diving in and out... but it's not meant for that. I saw this other cool 'toy' that does that though...really cool. You would love that...I can't remember the name of it.

As for film ideas.... Kickboxer 10: The water duel

Rambo in one of those things would be awesome and hilarious. Fly down capture the enemy by the neck with his thighs and as the enemy chokes, he fires his ak-47 on all of his baddie friends. Rambo drops the baddie just in time to fly down and pick up the entire boat with the jetpack to defend against an incoming rocket launched missile.
