Jesse Conti paid for my EPIC DRAGON kit via Paypal then had his financial institution reverse the payment.

I have reported the various serial numbers that I have for the stolen gear to RED. Be aware that he has been trying to sell the EPIC DRAGON brain on EBAY. If you purchase stolen gear RED will confiscate it when you take it in for repair/maintenance.

This is the kit with the serials that I have so far:

RED EPIC DRAGON - S/N 70706
RED CANON MOUNT
MINI-MAG SIDE MODULE
RED PRO 5” TOUCHSCREEN MONITOR - S/N 730102A4DF7C
RED MOTION MOUNT TITANIUM PL - S/N 725102BB57F9A
RED 1TB MINI-MAG - S/N 7501302684CA
RED MINI-MAG READER
RED SIDE HANDLE

Thank you,
Martin

Excuse me?! I paid for it and have the proof. I only reported it when you refused to respond to me after we made a deal months ago. I can call paypal and see whats going on. I did not sell it on ebay. It was a mess of a situation and to publicly do this without having a conversation with me is just awful. I have had SO MANY flawless transactions. I'd be happy to have a discussion with you privately, but this is just inappropriate as can be. You have my number, feel free to give me a call.

Against my better judgement I agreed to an extremely flexible payment plan for you to get the EPIC DRAGON kit BEFORE paying it in full.

YOU drafted the contract and YOU set the payment terms of which you defaulted as of the first scheduled payment.

After months of trying to collect a complete payment from you, I caved and agreed to a “buyout” for a substantially lower amount. And this week you had your bank reverse the “buyout” payment.

So I’m left without my EPIC DRAGON kit nor the “buyout” payment.

I have been "privately" trying to reason with you since March of this year since I sent you the EPIC DRAGON kit.

I have just spoke to paypal and my bank. Apparently it has just been reviewed after months. It is being resolved. We have done business in the past with no issues, Martin. We had a deal and after I made the buyout payment, I didn't hear back from you, I got understandably nervous, I paid your invoice with my debit card and was not protected under paypal guidlines, so I made a claim and this is the first I'm hearing about this. You were 100% paid on my end. No need for this public display. It is being taken care of as we speak. You have text me a screenshot that paypal just withheld the funds on your end and I appreciate you working with me to resolve it. I wish youd return my call instead of posting publicly though because it's something we can easily handle privately. But here we are...

It is being resolved. I am not and never will be a thief. It was a messy and unfortunate situation, but the claim is being reviewed. Martin and I have been communicating and the hold on funds is being reversed.

I have purchased and sold things to and from Jesse Conti several times.. this does not sound accurate at all from my dealings with him

I bought a minimag from Jesse as well with no issues a couple of years ago.

Yes, I too bought/sold items from/to Jesse Conti (as well as from Tim Daust and John Conn) with no issues which is why I sent Jesse Conti a full EPIC DRAGON kit without upfront payment. I trusted him and I'm trusting that he'll do right by me and return the money that was reversed. Until then, I'll keep up this post.

The hold on funds was completely reversed on my end. It took around 30 days to go through it's review process, as my bank stated it probably would have. When I informed him of the reversal and provided proof, Martin told me PayPal could hold the funds longer and even though we've been communicating recently about this and other topics just fine, as we have over the last couple of years, he still posts this. It has been taken care of on my end. However long PayPal may take to release it back to you, is out of my control, but we can call PayPal together and hopefully that speeds up the process.

Things can happen when people don't communicate properly, but I love and respect this community of filmmakers and I hope this doesn't deter others from buying/selling/trading.

Thanks Tim and John for the support. I appreciate it.

I have done business with Jesse too, no issues whatsoever.

Under the circumstances, I can’t imagine continuing to revive this publicly.

I have been ripped off by Jesse this year too. I bought a 7.0 inch LCD off him that he never delivered, we agreed a refund instead and he's been messing me around on this for months now with one excuse after the other. Looking at these comments, i see he must do this kind of thing fairly often. A shame that these people are out there in the world. As it stands, I've been ripped off by Jesse too - DO NOT TRUST HIM.

I too had a bad experience with Jessie.

He agreed to buy a camera from be in installments.

He finally did pay off the camera but it was months late. I had to bother him weekly for payment. Our contract stated that a failure to pay would require him to return the camera. I asked repeatedly for him to do that and he blew me off saying he'll have me paid in a week. This went on week after week.

As of today he still owes me $200 for half of the overnight shipping.

It's not worth the hassle for me to text him over and over to try and collect it from him.

Obviously he has no intention of paying me that since it's been months now.

In his defense he did suffer an injury that supposedly prevented him from paying. But the injury happened basically immediately after shipping him the camera. So who knows.

Anyway. Just wanted to share my experience.

I’m pleased to say that my situation with Jesse Conti has finally been resolved! Although Paypal and Jesse’s bank took the full 75 days to credit me the amount that was taken out with the chargeback Jesse was there throughout the process doing everything that he could to make it right.
