  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Jeff Kilgroe , are you for real???

There are numerous people on reduser who enlighten and encourage. We're blessed with many gurus. Those who frequent this forum know their names.

On the tech side no one has provided more helpful information than Jeff Kilgroe. I just looked under his name and saw he'd cranked out 14,000+ posts. Holy s^%*. Small wonder I love to hang with the Dr at NAB. Imagine a couple beers and some shop talk with this guy. Priceless. And besides being wise beyond his years he's a great guy.

Just thought i'd take this moment (and I think I speak for many) to say thanks Jeff. When you talk people listen. And like Dave Mullins on the production side you speak carefully and respectfully. It's dedicated people like you that make reduser among the very best professional forums on the net. We owe you one. And drinks are on me come April:)
 
Jeff along with a few other people on this forum are among the few people that every time I see their name if I'm just skimming, I stop and I read every single post. Along with the RED Team button I wish there was a "people who always say something awesome" button so I could scroll through those people as well when I'm short on time.
 
I agree. Jeff has been mighty enlightening over the years. I usually scan long threads for posts from (1) the Red team and (2) Jeff Kilgroe.

It would take me five lifetimes to know as much as Jeff knows about computers and tech. Great resource here at Reduser and beyond.
 
For surz, thanks Jeff. As an example, I asked a question on hdmi matrix switches tuesday, Jeff answered with exactly what I needed that day ... I sent my admin to buy it ... I installed the hdmi switch today into my 4k tv matrix in about 5 minutes ... it just worked (if it was me, i would have for sure bought the wrong thing, and bumbled around for a month).

Several years ago I wrote a post entitled:

Kilgroe Tout

It was a play on the name of a Kurt Vonnegut, Jr character - Kilgore Trout.

It was also a recommendation to the RedUser community to read Jeff's posts.

I want to personally thank Jeff for staying consistently engaged with the forum all these years.

I thought he was a cyborg until I actually saw a video of him testing the mövi. I consider him guru to for sure! Would cry blood if he one day would leave reduser.

In a world full of negatives, Mr Kilgroe leans on the opposite to educate us REDUSERs.
 
When new Mac Pro drops we'll all be 'blowing him up' for wisdom.

That was when people thought the video was a fraud because Jeff Kilgroe couldn't possibly be that young.
He's real ....I swear...
 
On top of it all, he looks like a frickin' youngster! No way he can know so much and be that young!!! lol
