  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Jeff Kilgroe!

Just wanted to chime in with what Jonathan and Meryem have already said: Jeff's as fine a fellow in meatspace as he is in cyberspace (although he is shorter in real life ...). :001_tt2:
 
I think it is pretty wild (read: great) that you see Jannard, Jarred and Graeme in the top ten. What does that say about Red? Well, I think it says that Red is one of us, shooters who were not content with "good enough".

Thanks Jeff for 10,000 posts I either already read, or probably should to learn something new. Big contrast with mine, which are mostly technical questions and other forms of digging for knowledge and truth. (and a lot of: "wow!")

50% of Jarred's posts are just: "Heh heh heh". Just sayin'

and, having said that, I am attaching a little something as a token of appreciation to Sanjin: the biggest Leica lens I could get, LOL :cheers2:

I try to sleep, but don't seem to ever get enough, and when intense in code, it comes out in dreams, which is not too bad until you get the bayer pattern nightmares :-)

REDUser is special - it's about a particular camera system we like, but we talk movie theory, cinematography skills, we show off our work, we discuss technical details of how imaging systems work, and make friends.

So thanks to Jarred for creating our favourite camera forum!

On a side note, I've always been more impressed with the people that you see post in a thread and then when you go to look at their join date it's like '07 or something crazy far ago yet they have less than 10 total posts.

I agree with all that's been said -- Jeff rocks. I've learned an insane amount from his posts ... actually all the guys in the top 10. This is only forum I'm really active on, Reduser is unlike any place else when it comes to excitement, information and amazing spirit of sharing. Thanks guys for making this such an amazing place to be :)
