This afternoon I attended a screening at the Sony building in NYC.
Jeff has knocked this film out of the park.
The footage has such a beautiful look to it. To my eye, it has a satiny, film-like grain to it. This is, without a doubt, the first digitally shot film where I can say that not one frame looked like "video". Both camera and DP shine is a wide variety of locations and lighting set-ups.
Go see this film at the best theater you can. Trust me on this.
P.S. It's also great to finally see a film director recognize Joely Richardson's abilities. She is such a talented actress, and she deserves some great breaks after all she's been through recently.
