Our good friend Jason Diamond and his family just lost pretty much everything in a horrible house fire.

I don't usually post stuff like this but Jason has been part of the family since pretty much day one so this hits close to home.

Stu and David set up a little donation page to help him get up on his feet again.. every dollar counts.

Thanks all.. and even if you can't afford to help him out with a donation I am sure he would love some words of encouragement.

I'm sorry to hear this. I can empathize with you. 20 years ago my family also lost everything we owned. My wife was devastated. But in the end we discovered that we had all that counts. Each other. Everything else was just stuff. You'll get through it. Cherish your loved ones. And best of luck to you.

I hope the fire is soon just a memory.

(I lost last year everything I owned in Germany [water...], those things bites, I feel with you. But no losses here in L.A. -- I'm fine)

My best wishes.

So sorry about the terrible news, I am glad everyone is ok. Jarred, what you're doing just goes to show that Red really is a lot more than a company, it's a family.

You guys are great.

Tell Jason to use only RED Bricks next time. Those off-brand batteries are clearly a real hazard!! ;-)

Thanks for the heads up Jarred.

Jason's been a big part of the community here. Donation made... chip in if you can boys n' girls! We need to take care of our own.

This kind of thing is terrible at the best of times, to suffer this kind of displacement with a family must magnifies it considerably. Our thoughts are with his family. He has one hell of a support base though. That is saying something.

Respect to you all.

Tim

I can help out with a small donation. I also have some land in Northern California and limited camera gear, including a Dragon if you wanted to come up north and clear your head in a healthy, clean and healing environment. I have been working on a vision for sometime here, another filmmaker in my backyard would be awesome and I'm sure we'd have a hell of a time while your here. Come join us if the need arises.

And here's to getting back on you feet with vigor and vibrancy.

Jarred, thanks for sharing your compassion for your friends and community.

Situations like this are awful, but they also shine a light on how fantastic and supportive this community can be when the proverbial hits the fan.

Both of the diamonds have been super helpful to me on this forum in terms of knowledge over the years and so I hope alongside others, my small donation can help add up to something larger.

I just wish I could give more :(

Just saw the post and helped a little - Sorry to hear. Hope his family gets back on their feet quickly.

Hey Jason - man sometimes life is shitty but you and the family are alive and will bounce back Sir. Jarred you are awesome.

I know there's not much one can say in a time and place like this so, just take it easy and things will fall into place.

Best.

- Paul.
