Hi Jarred (or anyother RED person ha ha)

I was wondering if someone could explain without getting too technical (or if u have to, explain the technicalities ha ha) of why 4K using Bayer Patter really equates to 3.2K when measured?

Also can someone explain to me the differences re: CMOS VS CCD, an Bayer Pattern Vs RGB ( i assume that's the alternative?)

In laymens terms would be great!
