  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Jarred: All I want for christmas is...

It's been mentioned many times here that this isn't in Red's half of the court but rather Wooden Camera's.. Contact them and urge them to not charge to upgrade the chip for compatibility!

More Nikon Lens compatibility (E). :)

Never mind, think I will give up on Nikon, going to order Revolva PL mount and go that route for more choices.

and maybe some news about Hydrogen?

Never mind here also, I am sure news will come when it comes.

So here is my wish -- a happy and healthy year for everybody, especially Jarred and the Red team who have brought us such wonderful experiences in 2017. Thank you all very much and I hope you will all get whatever you are wishing for.

Just to add to the Christmas wish list for my already perfect camera!

1. The ability to turn LCD screens on & off so the camera draws less power.
2. Similar to the stealth option, the choice of not having a skull drawn on the camera & EVF. Not everybody chooses tattoos! :))
 
Santa Red Team, I’ve been a good boy so here goes my wish list:

1- New LCD with brighter screen , easier to view focus and same excelent touch screen response

2- compatibility for the IS of the 120-300 2.8 sigma sport and the 150-600 sport.

3- the Red Hoodie. The Red Jacket.

Thats it !

Yeah, they were originally targeting before the end of the year. I'm crossing my fingers for before the holidays, but really assuming it won't happen until January 2018. Glad it will probably be close to the next v7 release, as I'm excited to see what bug fixes they top off on the next release build. Excited to make IPP2 my main workflow once Premiere CC18 supports the new SDK.
 
+1 on WC module support.

Plus-

1) Time lapse mode while shooting in pre-record mode. Basically the ability to take a 1-6 fps time lapse while the camera is pre recording then when one presses record the camera would record at the other chosen frame rate. So this would allow one to go from a time lapse right into a slow motion shot.

2) Bright 7in and 5in monitor. Make the 5in as light as possible for gimbal work.

3) New motion mount that goes to zero stops.

4) Hydrogen update with ALL the specs and modules that are available or will become available before/after its release.

5) Red to buy Freeflysystems, Vaxis, and RT-motion and make it all work together seamlessly. I know RT motion is now part of teradek, but they just dont work as well as the Vaxis systems.

Sound guy had some spare low-profile velcro while we were waiting for the sun to set. No more skulls on my camera :)
