And it should be something so easy for them to bang out that they should be very likely coming out at the same time, or very shortly after. Sound right?

I realize that an S35 100mm on a 2/3" camera is quite long (equivalent to an S35 293mm on an S35 camera or a FF35 378mm on a FF35 camera, if my math is right) but I'm still blown away that you can get depth of field that shallow, at any aperture let alone stopped down to 5.6, on such a small sensor. Very amazing. Until now I thought I was going to have to shell out for the S35 Scarlet. You just lost yourselves a few thousand dollars :)

I guess that Izzy is relatively close to the lens (Jarred posted it somewhere), and his tail reaches relatively far in the background.

Jarred: Shot at T5.6, 100mm, Izzy was about 4-5 feet away from the camera.

I don't know the size of this one, but supposedly iguanas can reach 6' long including the tail.

Edit: I don't think there's much mystery here, there are tables that show depth of field for a given lens focal length, aperture and sensor size- it's just geometric optics, it shouldn't matter what brand of sensor you are using. Here's one: http://www.dofmaster.com/dofjs.html

Getting shallow DOF is certainly doable with a 2/3" sensor, it just takes more effort. Open up a bit more, shoot a little longer lens or closer... stuff you all know.

Y'know ... little Izzy there is having an impact more akin to Godzilla.

How the heck did I miss this thread, I'm more addicited to these boards than Facebook...

That was a down and dirty high compression shot without Jim and Graemes magic?

INF&$@INGCREDIBLE... and someone was actually whining about blacks in a compressed one off? This is just the 2/3 sensor?

You guys are so close to this, you really need to hear how truly amazing this is RED Team...

HELL, Im still blown away by the RED ONE footage we are finishing now on a feature... this is just too exciting.

Then sprinkle in Jim's hints about how the company is growing and Mark's first hand
account...

And FYI JIM: Bernanke said he possibly sees the recession ending this year, and how couldnt it... the Stock market is down to where it was when I left in June 1997...

Just wish you needed $ and I could take your company public!!

and for those asking if this is fixed lens... are you reading the words of jarred when he posts this stuff?... The lens info is clearly spelled out... looks like arial font to me :)

This sample should be posted in RECON were everyone can see it. Its too hidden here. I found it by accident.
