  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Issues when trimming R3D

Laurent,

Can you give a better description of your problem please? I've just tried it and it is working ok.

Cheers,
David

Sure David,

I load a clip on the timeline in redcinex351, cut it, export with R3D trim set with quicktime wrapper and rdm sidecar, choose the folder an click on export.
Everything seems working perfectly, except the wrappers are zéro Ko...
So they won't load in FCP nor Clipfinder...clipfinder is unable to generate new wrappers...
But Redcine and Storm still can open the trimmed R3D...
Kind of weird because it used to work perfectly on build 348...and now the build 348 has got the same bug...

Do you need a file with the wrong wrapper?

Thank you for your quick answer

Unfortunatly I have no redrocket...yet..I'm begging my boss to do the jump

Any trouble doing a normal wrapper export?

Please turn on verbose logging and send me the RCX log file and the redexport log file for your export.
The email is redcinex at red dot com.

You can find these under /Users/{Your User Name}/Library/Application Support/red/RedCineX/Logs

It's sounding like maybe you have a quicktime issue.

David

Hi Laurent,

You need to download the Final Cut Studio 3 Installer from www.red.com/support. It includes the latest REDCODE plugin that you need for the wrappers to work with the latest color science.
