Is there any way to lower the ISO under 250?

You can expose the sensor to the amount of light that equals ISO 50, or any ISO you wish.

In RedCine-X you can also move the slider to 50 ISO if you wish.

In the ISO menu options on the cam, the lowest I see is 250

Yes. But in the redcine you can go lower. But be aware you're just throwing data away when going that low.

I generally agree with this, but if you're shooting a very low contrast scene you can still preserve all the image data (no clipping) and shoot at ISO 50.

The only way to "shoot" at ISO 50 is by adjusting the FLUT in camera. You would still be at ISO250 but lowering the FLUT effectively makes it ISO 50.

Don't make the mistake of thinking it is like film in terms of grain or "better" quality, cleaner images, because digital sensors don't work quite the same way.

Test, test, test - the whole workflow - if this is what you intend to do in terms of exposing your image. They limit it to 250 ISO in camera for good reason.
