I'm selling my prized Iscorama Pre-36 anamorphic lens along with a few accessories which will hopefully appeal to RED users. It's in great condition (see attached) for its age with near perfect glass (no fungus, scratches, haze, tiny bit of dust) and smooth focus ring.
For those not in the know, the Iscorama Pre-36 is an uncoated anamorphic lens (1.5x stretch) that attaches to the front of a 'taking' lens. While its not a LOMO, it produces a lovely anamorphic image/flares (Phil Holland sold one on Reduser some years ago).
To use it, the taking lens is turned to infinity and all focus is done via the Iscorama (~300 degree focus throw). Effectively it turns your regular spherical lenses into anamorphics. I think you'd be able to use ~35mm and up taking lenses with the Dragon sensor without vignetting (~50mm on FF sensor).
Included is a custom machined clamp (see photos) that's designed for Leica-R lenses (55mm thread), but you can use Canon etc. with cheap step rings.
Also the custom wide lens gear included fits snugly allowing for use with standard follow focus units. The front element extends but the lens gear is wide enough there's no noticeable slippage/play when focussing.
So we have:
* Iscorama Pre-36 anamorphic lens
* 50mm 2.8 original taking lens (Nikon mount)
* Redstan custom machined clamp (new / never used - test only)
* Removable custom lens gear (new / never used - test only)
Asking USD3500 but open to reasonable offers via PM. (this isn't a fire sale)
