• Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

ISCO RUNCO ANAMORPHIQUE - PRIX FERME. Tres RARE.

I have an Anamorphic lens (1.3x) that was created by Iscorama for Runco Reinier. It originally sold for between $6000-$8000. It has higher quality glass than the Iscorama 54's which it resembles and are popular right now. I worked with a German optics professor who is well known here (Dr. Klaus Schmitt) to build a structure around it and have extra diopters for close up work which are very rare for it's size (92.5mm). There are two very tiny microscratches on it's back element and perhaps a speck or two of dust which were there from origin before we purchased. As it is an amorphic lens (used to eliminate distortion in abnormally wide throws) they are therefore inconsequential, and this was re-confirmed by Iscorama Gottingen themselves before we decided to go ahead and take it.

Focus can be pulled with only the taking lens. (No need to pull focus on both lenses) This is extremely rare.

We built the rear threads with a 77mm diameter, the rotating locking pin unit to change / level out the anamorphic plane, and the the front threaded holder for the diopters. (92.5mm). The diopters for work in the closer 6 feet (2 meters) range are VERY RARE and one would have difficulty finding them in this size normally.

Edit: A new rear mount was machined to approach the taking lens by almost a full centimeter for additional coverage. A duclos delrin gear ring has also been added to the barrel.

Additionally there is a small chip on the .5 diopter near the edge, which is also of origin before us and does not affect image quality because of it's peripheral nature.

As I said before the anamorphic lens itself was quite an expensive piece at the time it came out (between $6000-$8000) and the sharpness of the lens is clearly a step up from a conventional Isco 54.

I have invested almost 2750€ in this piece over time and my asking price is 1750€. PRICE IS FIRM.

Paypal only, unless face to face transaction. I am located in Paris, France.

EDIT: subject FLARES
The color and the quality of the flare depends on your light source.
If you have a warm source it will be warm, if it is cold it will be cold.
The more specular and pinpointed the source the narrow your line will be.
The broader the source, the softer and wider your line will be.

As I have zero time (on a production), I ran out and popped off a clip from a broad source - a streetlight (probably daylight balanced LED))
The result was blue purplish and a little soft/wide, however I have seen them colder blue from some sources, probably a result of mixing with a warm tungsten light not far away on this one. I imagine a flashlight would do a better job, but honestly I can't afford to do more than this right now.

When the adapter focus is changed, does the length of the adapter expand / contract, or does it stay the same? 92.5mm front thread might be problematic, but if integrating to a matte box, what is the diameter of the front ring for a clamp on adapter? HELLO, THANKS FOR YOUR INQUIRY. I'm just curious, if the focus is only done from the taking lens, what function does the focus of the adapter serve? Does it allow closer focus to be achieved or should be set for infinity and not touched? FOCUS SHOULD BE PLACED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ADAPTER'S THROW. I HAD THE RING PUT ON BY DUCLOS BEFORE I DISCOVERED THAT IT WAS ACTUALLY POSSIBLE TO FOCUS ONLY WITH THE TAKING LENS ITSELF. IT HAS OCCASIONALLY BEEN USEFUL FOR TINY ADJUSTMENTS WHEN DOING MACRO WORK WITH DIOPTERS, BUT IS NOT CONSEQUENTIAL OTHERWISE. When the adapter focus is changed, does the length of the adapter expand / contract, or does it stay the same? STAYS THE SAME. 92.5mm front thread might be problematic, but if integrating to a matte box, what is the diameter of the front ring for a clamp on adapter? THE OUTSIDE DIAMETER OF THE FRONT RING IS 103mm. ARRI MAKES A 130mm > 103mm CLAMP ON REDUCTION RING FOR INFO. I HAVEN'T USED A MATTEBOX THOUGH, AS I LIKE FLARES. When the focus is thrown, does the front ring also rotate? (may not be an issue if the focus ring does not need to be used) THE FRONT RING DOES NOT ROTATE, BUT NOT AN ISSUE ANYWAY WHEN WORKING WITH A TAKING LENS. HOPE THAT HELPS, CLAYTON
