  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Is this the bottom line on support?

Eric, I'll PM you on the specifics. We are proprietary on the integration and a single-board element, not the plugged-in technology.

Web presents for us is nothing but vanity. We are basically R&D.

I guess I was something in High-School. Grad at sixteen and post grad at fifteen-hundred feet over unfriendly jungle.

Does B2B classify as Support?

Kevin,

I am no RED fanboy. I have been around for a fair bit in the Silicon Valley, doing stuff. IMHO, a post on a user forum is not the best way to get a response to a B2B proposal.

I suggest you let this thread die here. Unless you need nobodies like me to give you business/communications advice.

And yes, I desperately need to get a life also I have been called names by people who know me well. So spare your fingers the keystrokes. I usually don't post on matters such as this, but I was having a 'nothing to do', vain moment.

Peace.

I think it is time someone close this thread.

Another useless thread to clutter up real searches for information that is valuable.

Thanks Sandeep,
I've taken your advice and am done here. What started as an effort to get an opinion on Red's screening methods, has sunk to a level I am not particularly proud of.

Good luck in my old stomping grounds. SV will rise again.

Cheers,
Kevin

Well, this was interesting. Go out to dinner (once a month) and miss all the fun!

We don't give anyone data on anything that is not done.
Sorry for the poor response in your eyes. Love to take another swing at it.
Not motivated by any amount of money.
Posting here your grievance probably doesn't help.

We are a garage operation. Don't expect Apple. Actually, it is hard to get hold of Jobs directly.

"We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone with a bad attitude"... even at the expense of our success.

I was just going to post, just before Jim’s post to say that I think this is mainly a “cultural” misunderstanding, and Jim and RED are not above being magnanimous in spite of whatever happens.

really sweet,

hats off to all, and to all a good night!

Cheers

Eric

I would think it would be easier to get ahold of a rock star, or say, the president. A rock star for instance, occasionally has some spare time.

(coming from somebody who knows a few rock stars)

Hi Jim,
Thanks for the response. I have to say that it is rare for me to allow an escalation like this. My first mistake was trying to push past your front desk with any mention of units or incentive. My second mistake was to take enough offense at being pushed to a forum for tech info, that I carried the aditude in my posts. And obviously, my third mistake was to not reduce the conversation to just pulling what data might be available from the users, since I was getting nowhere with direct contact. It will not happen again.

That said, I hope you all have a good night. Thanks for the info, as I did indeed come away a bit better informed.

Kevin

I am still lost on where to find email contacts. You mentioned this site. Can you point me in a direction?

Thanks
Kevin
